Gregory the beagle couldn't help but sweetly show his gratitude after being rescued from a shelter where he was set to be euthanized.
The 2-year-old beagle was found as a stray in Ohio and brought to a shelter on April 25th. Though they initially thought he was healthy, the beagle was scheduled to be put down after the shelter discovered he was heartworm positive. Just two days before he was scheduled to be euthanized, husband and wife Joe and Schenley Kirk came to his rescue. According to Today, the couple, who co-founded Hound Rescue and Sanctuary, pulled Gregory off of the "rescue only" list on May 1st.
