OPERATIONS
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the manufacturing and distribution supply chain ensuring optimal freight/logistics solutions to manage all aspects of intermodal freight transportation from overseas manufacturers to ports and warehouses based in the United States and Canada.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate closely with a small team to determine shipping order accuracy, the correct mode of transportation for given material size, and packaging.
- Become a subject matter expert in all aspects of Paw.com’s distribution and shipping network
- Observe and study processes in Supply Chain to identify gaps in processes
- Prepare daily, weekly and/or monthly reports
- Recognize opportunities to consolidate multiple shipments and working with suppliers and service providers to reduce overall transportation spend
- Identify and implement capacity planning and management tools that will improve operating accuracy and efficiency
- Manage activities throughout the order fulfillment by working closely with key suppliers and production teams
- Analyze information to shape strategic supply chain decisions using data driven analysis and enhanced BI Tools/ Reporting
- Procurement of carriers in all the US/Canada port regions
- Tracking and tracing container shipments via terminal portals ensuring accurate ETAs into the major US/Canada ports
- Manage freight damage and loss claims resolution process
- 7+ years of experience in international Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Operations
- 3+ years of analytical experience
- Consumer Product Goods industry experience
- Pet Industry Experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
